A little bit about my beginnings

I started out as a graphic designer by creating artwork for clubnights that I began running when I was 17. I went on to study multimedia & web development for a year in Cavan Institute where I got a work placement in a small web design studio called Flo Web Design. I spent 3 years here learning how to design and develop websites, applications and social media campaigns for clients like Iceland, Killeen Castle, X-tra Vision and many more.

After 3 years in Flo Web, I moved on to a digital agency called Ebow for a contract role and worked on some big projects with GAA, Disney, Maxol, Orange and DNA.

Later that year I started a new role as a sole UI designer within Intel Education. I lead the design for the department on some large scale products which include websites, web apps and native apps. I also assist in front-end development and QA when needed.

So, what kind of stuff do I do

Design Strategy

Design Strategy

All good designs start with a planning process. This involves user and competitor research, personas, user flows & information architecture

Visual Design

Visual Design

Once the planning has been finalised it's time to design. I sketch, wireframe and prototype before moving to full visual designs either in Photoshop or the browser

Front-End Development

Front-End Development

Designers who can code their designs always have an advantage. I specialise in HTML5 & CSS3 and have with experience with SEO, Wordpress and Javascript

A bit more experience every year

Training

Keeping a healthy body and mind is important for creativity. I like to mix up my training with CrossFit, swimming, rowing and yoga

Visual Design

Music

I've been djing for over 10 years and have been producing for 7. It's rare to find me working without some house or techno music on in the background

Front-End Development

Food

This design work gets tiring and we gotta keep fueled. If you're looking to impress me, I like my steak medium done with pepper sauce
